| When: | Monthly, day of the week will vary |
| Venue: | Various |
Initially we will meet monthly in the morning at say 9:30 or afternoon 14:00 - only half a day for a local meet, and ideally Tuesday or Wednesday mornings. If we go further afield i.e. Somerset Levels, Steart or Slimbridge then it will probably be a whole day trip so bring a packed lunch. We welcome your input and ideas; because some people might not be able to make the meeting on a specific day of the week, the following month it will be on a different day.
You can be newcomers and willing to learn to identify birds by visual observation and by their calls and songs, or experienced birders.
Please make yourself known to the leader who will introduce you to others and help you find the birds. Group members are responsible for their own safety and welfare on field trips. Do bring binoculars/telescopes if you have them. You must always wear appropriate seasonal and weather proof clothes and stout walking shoes; wellies are good if it’s wet. Avoid 'loud' clothing, although the birds will see us coming well before we see them, and no unnecessary chatter, you may not hear a rare bird!
Please check destination(s) prior to travel – satnav and postcodes may not take you exactly to the parking place you’re aiming for.
Mobility Needs: Please get in touch if you need to confirm that the advertised field meeting is suitable for you. If you are having difficulty in accessing field meetings we will look to include suitable venues in the field trip programme.
